Product Description:

  • Inspired by the 1990 kit worn in a gripping semi-final penalty shoot out against England that paved the way for West Germany to take home the greatest trophy in football for the second (but not the last) time, the Germany 2018 Women Away Shirt brings back an iconic green look with a dynamic all-over pattern. The message is clear – the returning champions will draw from past victories as they defend their title in Russia.
  • With a slightly looser fit than the one worn by German players, the shirt is ideal for comfortable wear while you cheer on your team or recreate those magic moments on the pitch. It’s made with sweat-sweeping Climalite fabric with highly breathable properties to keep you cool and focused under pressure. In addition to the classic woven Germany crest on the chest, the shirt features a heat transferred “Die Mannschaft” graphic below the back collar and a woven FIFA World Champions 2014 crest on the front.

Adidas History:

Adidas Logo    Christoph Von Wilhelm Dassler was a worker in a shoe factory, while his wife Pauline ran a small laundry in the Franconian town of Herzogenaurach, 20 km (12.4 mi) from the city of Nuremberg. After leaving school, their son, Rudolf "Rudi" Dassler, joined his father at the shoe factory. When he returned from fighting in World War I, Rudolf received a management position at a porcelain factory, and later in a leather wholesale business in Nuremberg.

Adolf "Adi" Dassler started to produce his own sports shoes in his mother's wash kitchen in Herzogenaurach after his return from World War I. In July 1924, his brother Rudolf returned to Herzogenaurach to join his younger brother's business, which became Gebruder Dassler Schuhfabrik (Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory) and prospered. The pair started the venture in their mother's laundry, but, at the time, electricity supplies in the town were unreliable, and the brothers sometimes had to use pedal power from a stationary bicycle to run their equipment.   more
